WOODLEY DOG TRAINING CLUB
STOCKPORT, CHESHIRE.
Please keep checking the diary for intake dates and closure dates.
We have a Facebook group for members, "Woodley Dog Training Club."
This has up to date information, hints and tips etc.
Pet Dog Training for dogs of any age, any breed or crossbreed.
Unfortunately, we are not able to take any banned breeds due to insurance restrictions.
A trained dog is a liberated dog. We teach you to help your dog become a pleasure to own, socially acceptable and a good citizen. It also enables you to create a better understanding of and bond with your dog.
We include all the usual dog training exercises and also incorporate situational exercises to help you and your dog cope with everyday situations. This not only helps your dog but also breaks the ice with other class members, making ours a friendly, sociable club.
IF YOU ARE WISHING TO JOIN PLEASE READ THE VENUE AND INTAKE PAGES AS THEY HAVE ALL THE DETAILS. THE DIARY ADVISES WHEN THE NEXT INTAKE IS.
INSTRUCTORS
Our instructors have approximately eighty years experience between them.
However, they keep up to date by attending seminars and other dog related events.
Our head instructor holds an Advanced Certificate for Instructing that was attained at the UKDTIC, an instructors course that ran for over forty years. This has now changed name to PDTI and has a slightly different focus.
CLASSES
We do not believe in set courses as all owners and dogs progress at different rates. As you and your dog improve you are moved up into the next class.
NEXT INTAKE LIST - PLEASE EMAIL
If you have a problem that will not wait until the next intake then please email for a 1 to 1 session.
All the classes are on Tuesday evenings, the puppy class is first at 7.15pm, followed by beginners, improvers, intermediates and finally advanced. Finishing at 10.00pm.
Class sizes can vary from three dogs to twelve dogs.
We have two 'beginner' classes, one for puppies and small or shy dogs, followed by a separate class for bigger and more outgoing dogs. This is to ensure that puppies and shy dogs are not overwhelmed by more confident dogs. The same exercises are covered in both the puppy and the beginner's class. All classes are on Tuesday evenings.
