WOODLEY DOG TRAINING CLUB
Intake Night - Details of the date of the next intake is on the Diary page.
On your intake night please arrive just before 8.30pm as there is registration to complete. The induction chat commences at 8.45pm.
Please bring your dog's inoculation certificate and registration fee (see fees below).
You will not be taking part in a class the first night so please leave your dog at home.
You will have an introductory lesson with one of our instructors explaining what we do and to discuss any problems you may have with your dog. This will be in a room away from the classes. The instructor will also run through the basics with you, how to teach the sit, how to hold the lead etc and what to expect within the class. She will demonstrate this with her dog as you do not bring your dog the first night.
We also include a chat about feeding, house training, how much exercise a pup should have to avoid damaging their joints, what to teach your dog before attending the lessons and how to teach your dog to heel before introducing the lead. We encourage people to attend the introductory lesson even before they get their pup/dog unless they are very experienced owners. It doesn't matter if the pup won't be attending for a few weeks as it's not a course.
**Even if you have training experience elsewhere we require that you attend this first lesson as it also includes fire drill and our safety rules.**
When you start the classes the following week please do not feed your dog prior to attending.
Fees:-
Registration fee is £40.00 per dog, this includes the introductory chat/lesson and the first five classes,to be taken within two months to allow leeway for shift workers etc. Then £5 per class payable each week you attend after those initial five classes.
